create index with where clause....... unexpected error?

Hi.
I tried to make an index with where clause, had some problems.
(eg. create index ORDERS_IDX on ORDERS(O_ORDERDATE) where o_orderdate >= '1994-01-01' and o_orderdate < '1995-01-01'; )
It didn't show any errors when I created it, but when I tried any DDL statements it showed the following.

-- Unexpected error in adhoc or catalog update: class org.hsqldb_voltpatches.HsqlException, incompatible data types in combination
WARN: Unexpected error in adhoc or catalog update: class org.hsqldb_voltpatches.HsqlException, incompatible data types in combination
org.hsqldb_voltpatches.HsqlException: incompatible data types in combination

1) Does this mean I can't create an index with timestamp comparison?
Or was there something wrong with my create index statement?

2) How do I make the database perform without DDL statement error?
How do I update the catalog without errors?

Thanks

This is an unexpected error. I filed a ticket for this - https://issues.voltdb.com/browse/ENG-9283 and will get it fixed in the next release. Until then, I recommend using an index without the where clause.
